Uganda’s female comedian Anne Kansiime wins Youtube Gold Creator Award

Anne Kansime, Uganda’s famous comedian has won a Gold Play Button from You-tube management after reaching one million subscribers on you-tube.

She becomes the third Ugandan to win this award after Big Talent Boss Eddy Kenzo and Masaka Kids who won it earlier this year.

The gold play button also referred to as the ‘Youtube Gold Creator Award’ is part of a series of gifts by YouTube to its most popular channels and is the fourth most prestigious YouTube Creator Award, given to channels that surpass 1 million subscribers.


Launched in May 2005, YouTube allows users to discover, watch and share originally-created videos, in this way providing a platform for people to connect, inform, and inspire others across the globe.


However, the female comedian took to her official social media page to thank all her fans for their support

Kansiime Kubiryaba Anne who is commonly known as Anne Kansiime is a Ugandan comedian, entertainer, and actress in a production house, Fun Factory.

She was born on the 13th of April 1986 from Kabaale District in the western part of Uganda where she attended Kabale Primary school for her Primary education.

Kansiime then joined Bweranyangi Girl’s Senior Secondary school in Bushenyi for both her O&A Level education.


Anne owns/hosts the 'Girl from Mparo' show which airs on Pearl Magic - DSTV, and the ‘Don’t Mess with Kansiime’ television show on Maisha Magic Channel 161 and NTV Uganda.

She is also an ambassador for Save the Children – Uganda, a brand ambassador for DStv, Standard Chartered and Old mutual Kenya.


Ugandan comedienne Anne Kansiime is currently in a relationship with Abraham Tukahirwa, popularly known as Sklylanta.

This courtship started off in 2018 after the witty comedian separated from her husband of four years, Gerald OjokThe cause of their split still remains unclear.
