Updated: Aug 23, 2020

NBS’s news anchor Samson Kasumba has left from the popular TV station under unknown reasons.

Kasumba on Monday announced his departure from NBS as he tweeted an emotional message saying his last goodbyes.

“I don’t like goodbyes. You’ve made me so comfortable and made me feel so much at home the time I have been with you. Now seems I’ve got to start over again making some other places feel home. That’s life right? Nothing seems permanent as it is.” He tweeted.

However, there are still ongoing reports on how the hardworking reporter was set for a new role at another TV station.

Recently, Kasumba was arrested on his way back home and detained by police at Kiira Road Police station.

According to Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, he confirmed that his arrest was not connected in a way to his journalistic work.

Kasumba is a journalist by profession and a news anchor at NBS TV.

He studied and completed his primary education from Kireka SD primary school, Kyambogo College School for his Uganda Certificate of Education and Kololo high school for his Education, which he failed.

Samson Karumba is also father to four children.

Kasumba’s sudden decision to quit will take many by surprise considering that he had expressed determination to continue pursuing his career with NBS TV.
