Eddy Kenzo is Uganda's new tourism ambassador


Eddy Kenzo has been unveiled as Uganda's new tourism ambassador. The State Tourism Minister Godfrey Kiwanda said that Kenzo’s international profile will push Uganda’s visibility as a preferred tourist destination.


The Honorable Minister said that Kenzo had agreed to sign on as an ambassador at a time when Uganda needed him the most.

Eddy Kenzo alias Edirisah Musuuza is Uganda's leading Afrobeat artiste and BET award winner.


The star artist will be tasked with marketing the tourism sector from four fronts.


They include the Tulambule Campaign that creates a local awareness of Uganda's visibility in the East African region.


Destination Uganda Campaign that seeks to attract tourists from the rest of Africa.

Twende Uganda Tourism Campaign where Uganda seeks to add more local tourists annually and the Global Pearl of Africa Campaign that will attract at least one million tourists globally.


Kenzo also pledged to employ his vast network of friends and professionals across the globe to help unlock Uganda's tourism potential as well as encouraging the youth here to embrace their country's tourism industry.

He has been a tourism ambassador for Kenya and has been instrumental in marketing the country's tourism sector.


Minister Kiwanda also noted that Kenzo's musical appeal will restore hope, building confidence and showcase Uganda's rich heritage.


His new job as ambassador will work in tandem with his music appeal to bolster Uganda's beauty and encourage both local and international tourists to explore the country.
