Rujoki was previously employed by the special Revenue Protection Services an anti-smuggling unit under former Inspector General of Police, General Kale Kayihura's term.
According to Soft Power News, Doris Akol's sacking stems from the body continued frustration of businesses in the country that angered president Museveni.
"Your work is to facilitate business and investment. Never waste the time of business people, telling them to go and come back, you have no right," he told URA staff in January 2019 at the commissioning of the URA tower.
"They are not begging you for anything. These are people adding to the national wealth. For you, you're not adding anything," Museveni advised.
The general public continues to decry URA poor service delivery from the tax body.
URA has not only failed to bring on board the numerous small and medium enterprises into the tax pool, but it has also failed to make tax information simpler for a majority Ugandans.
